Stainless steel valves are mostly made of 304CF8 and 316 CF8M.

Type 304: The best-known grade is Type 304, also known as 18/8 and 18/10 for its composition of 18% chromium and 8%/10% nickel, respectively.

Type 316: The second most common austenitic stainless steel is Type 316. The addition of 2% molybdenum provides greater resistance to acids and localized corrosion caused by chloride ions. Low-carbon versions, such as 316L or 304L, have carbon contents below 0.03% and are used to avoid corrosion problems caused by welding.

pay attention, whether it is CF8 or CF8M, the product may have intergranular corrosion.

If the product is welded, the probability of intergranular corrosion will increase. This is because welding may destroy the crystal structure of stainless steel.

If you use CF3 or CF3M instead, the possibility of intergranular corrosion will be greatly reduced.

The cost of using CF8M is significantly higher than that of CF8, so some people hope to use different metals to make valves to reduce part of the cost (for example, the valve body uses CF8M, and the handle uses CF8 or even Type 430 stainless steel)

The type 430 stainless steel:

It is much cheaper than CF8 or CF8M, it is Ferritic stainless steels. Its corrosion resistance is much lower than CF8 and CF8M, and it will even oxidize in the air.

Unless requested by the buyer, Type 430 stainless steel is not recommended.

Customer satisfaction is our greatest pursuit.
